The “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy started in Lysychansk, Luhansk region in March. Therapy sessions are held by Tetyana Solodchuk and Iryna Ilyinska, the psychologists trained within the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project in February 2018. They work with 9 children from Lysychansk school #12. The “Children and War” program is unique thanks to the variety of tools it offers – this allows choosing self-help exercises and techniques individually for each child and let and get him involved into work. There was a kid that usually stayed passive and he got interested in the “Thermometer” technique that now he will use for regulation of the level of fear.
The funds for the therapy in Luhansk region were raised during “Gala of HOPE” charity concert held in June 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland. It was organised by “HOPE worldwide Zurich” and “u l t r a S c h a l l” ensemble.
