At the end of October 2018 in Irpen, Kiev region, in the framework of the project “Helping Hand for Ukraine”, began the classes on the program “Children and War: Teaching Recovering Techniques”. The coaches Marina Ivanenko and Nelya Volkova work with the children’s group. 18 children attended the first lesson. There were little kids among them, but the program involves working with children over 8 years old, so not everyone will continue to participate. But it was fun! We got acquainted, talked, played, drank tea together, and some children signed the first badge in their life with their name on it. Over the course of seven lessons, children will learn self-help techniques and learn to cope with anxiety, stress, fears, nightmares and intrusive memories. We are planning to start the parent group on the first Saturday of November.

We would like to mention our partner – the Public Center for the work with internally displaced persons in Irpen. Volunteers of the Center regularly conduct support programs for children and the elderly, this is our third joint collaboration. Thank you for your caring hearts and love work! Strength, health and well-being to you!
