In September-October 2021, at school No. 24 in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, within the framework of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, three groups were held under the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques”. The trainers of the program Leila Kravchenko and Kristina Kravchenko (mother and daughter) are actively involved with children of different ages. In this school, the children have known them for a long time and well, they love and look forward to every meeting. After all, the small office of the school psychologist Christina is a place where it is always cozy and safe, where you can be open and get support. In the classroom, children were taught self-help techniques to deal with anxiety, stress and intrusive memories. In a warm, trusting atmosphere, they shared their fears and experiences, supported and encouraged each other. According to the trainers, the Fear Thermometer technique has become a real discovery for many children. Thanks to her, the guys began to understand themselves better, to recognize their fears and consciously cope with them.
