Ira Sukhova and Oleksiy Sukhov, representatives of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, attended the “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy session in the village of Vrubovshchyk, Donetsk region, where children were learning the techniques of relaxation and breathing. They did not come empty-handed – children received gifts – art-kits and stationery for classes. “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy session in Vrubovshchyk are aimed at providing psychological assistance to children who have survived military activities and their parents. The sessions are held in the village club, in rather poor conditions: there is no heating and no bathroom in the building. Therefore, we would like to especially support and thank the trainers – Olena Myrna and Olena Netrebenko, who are committed to the cause they do with enthusiasm, perseverance and incredible love for children. Also, the project representatives visited the supervision session where the professional support was provided to volunteer trainers. The funds for the therapy in Vrubovshchyk were raised during “Gala of HOPE” charity concert held in June 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland. It was organised by “HOPE worldwide Zurich” and “u l t r a S c h a l l” ensemble.
