Seven “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy sessions for IDPs, children and parents, from Eastern Ukraine took place in Kyiv in March 01-29 within Phase V of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project.
Four experienced psychologists worked with a group of 6 children and a group of 10 parents. The participants learned to work with the consequences of post-traumatic disorder using different techniques; also to use the newly learned skills of self-assistance in future. The therapy was held with the support of the Center of Social Services for Families and Youth in Svyatoshinskyi District in Kyiv that provided the premises for the classes.
