On December 05, the volunteers of “”HOPE worldwide Ukraine”” Charity Foundation held a festive concert in Kyiv Geriatric Nursing Home (Kyiv, Budarina st., 11). The concert was dedicated to the New Year and Christmas celebrations. 16 volunteers and 4 children took part in the concert. The audience consisted of over 50 residents of the nursing home.
The concert was held in an unusual place – small lobby near the concert hall. This created an atmosphere of “theater in the lobby” and “”sold-out”” instead of half-empty hall. The performers were close to the audience and the host was interacting with everyone. Thanks to that, the atmosphere of the event was warm and cozy.
The audience actively engaged in games and contests. They were singing and sometimes even dancing. Everyone was happy and after the concert one of the residents of the nursing home thanked the volunteers on behalf of the satisfied audience. Tea party with tasty treats followed the concert. And children helped bringing sweets to those elderly who stayed in their rooms.
