In the month of May, at school # 17 in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, classes under the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” were held in two groups at once. Young specialists Olga Belichkina, Elena Pivovarova, Tatiana Belikova and Victoria Boyko worked with the schoolchildren. These combative, active, gambling, cheerful women created an atmosphere in the groups, thanks to which the participants were able to talk about such a difficult topic as the trauma of war and deal with anxieties, fears and obsessive memories. And at the last seventh lesson, the guys imagined what they would be like in 5 and 10 years. Unfortunately, not all of them see themselves in the future. Many “look at their feet” and are afraid of what lies ahead. And even dreaming seems stupid and meaningless to them. This is how trauma manifests itself. And it is so joyful to see children who, very sincerely, childishly dream of becoming artists and firefighters. And those that are older imagine themselves as businessmen, owners of houses, cars and want to have families, prosperity and health. Nobody dreams of war … And so they want these dreams to come true! May you succeed, dear ones!
