On November 21, a competition of social projects of academic groups was held at the Institute of Philology of Kiev Grinchenko University. The event was aimed at uniting socially active youth in actualizing issues important to society. The competition was attended by 17 teams of students of the Institute with such projects: “From Paper to Screen”, “Old Town Mysteries”, “Mysticism of Kyiv”, “A ray of grace in the life of a pet”, “More green by Grinch”, “Celebrating Christmas in Germany”, “Meeting cycle “Grinchenko reading room”, “Friendship paw”, “LeaderFest”, “Anti-trouble committee”, “Grinch_inside”, “# Kyivtrip”, “Baby smile”, “East wind”, “Help paw”, “Easy English”, “EcoGreenCh”, “STAND_BY_IF”. The jury consisted of: Olga Shikalova – project manager of the “Day of Hope” project of the “HOPE Worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation, Vitaliy Popovich – program organizer at boarding school No. 15 in Kiev, volunteer of the “HOPE Worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation, Oksana Rudyka – project manager of the “Happy Monday” professional development platform, organizer of series of monthly parties “Thank God It`s Monday”. The contest was sponsored by the “HOPE Worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation and the “Happy Monday” public organization. The winners of the competition were the following projects: 1st place – “LeaderFest” (development of leadership qualities among schoolchildren, broadening their horizons, revealing creative abilities, building an active public position, increasing communication among young people); 2nd place – “Baby smile” (popularization of the unique experience and literary heritage of V.Sukhomlinsky among teachers, children and their parents, creation of “Fairy Tale Rooms” on the basis of one of the schools in Kiev, publication of the collection “Alphabet of human values”) ; 3rd place – “Anti-trouble committee” (a program to study high levels of stress among students, as well as the creation of training materials and recommendations for coping with stress).
