On February 29, March 12 and 14, the psychologists of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project held the second, third and fourth “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy sessions for children in “Barvinok” Children’s Sanatorium (Boyarka, Kyiv region). Therapy sessions for around 30 children are conducted upon request of the sanatorium’s administration within Phase II of the project.
The psychologists who took the training course in May-June 2015 within Phase I of the “Helping and for Ukraine” project work with children. They note that one can already see positive changes in children’s behaviour and emotional condition. They become calmer; learn to face their fears without stress. They share their feelings and talk about their problems. Children open their hearts and it influences positively on them within the therapy.
