On September 09, Ira Sukhova, project manager of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project participated in the official opening of the IDPs Centre for Social Support and Adaptation in Odesa. In her speech Ira told about the Project and cooperation between our Foundation and Odesa regional NGO “Association of Intellectuals “Assembly”, founder of the Centre.
Partners and friends of the Centre, city officials and IPDs took part in the opening ceremony. After the official part, the organisers held a presentation of “School of Kindness” – a program of psychological assistance and rehabilitation for IDP children and parents. First part of the school includes a course of “Children and War” therapy sessions. They will be conducted by psychologists who took part in the training, organised by “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation in Odesa in spring 2016 within the frames of Phase III of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project. The second part of the program includes “Power of Kindness” lessons.
