In February-March 2020, classes under the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” took Place at School No. 5 in Severodonetsk, Lugansk Region for middle school students. Coaches Irina Bernatskaya and Victoria Tikhonova are not the first to work with the program. Last year, they studied the methodology at a training for psychologists and conducted classes in the same school with teenagers. The results in improving the behavior and emotional well-being of children were so obvious that the school’s leadership readily accepted a set of new groups and even entrusted the program to a team of students of the Psychology faculty of the East Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl who studied under the Children and War program recently – in February 2020. Specialists are set to work actively and dream of continuing to share their experience in other classes of school No. 5, as well as in several other schools in Severodonetsk. We believe that in the classroom, any child and parent can get a lot of valuable, useful and interesting things for themselves, and that self-healing techniques will help each participant in group classes to become more healthy, strong and happy.
