On February 17-19, 2017 the team of trainers of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” Project held “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” Training for 21 participated in Kharkiv – psychologists, psychotherapists, medical workers and volunteers with great experience of working with children, families of soldiers and internally displaced persons. The representatives of local charity and non-governmental organisations such as “Kharkiv Station”, “Well-Being of Children”, “Ukrainian Borders”, “Together”, “Caritas-Kharkiv” participated in the training.
The local partner of the Foundation – Adaptation Cultural Centre – provided the venue for the event. The training was held within Phase V of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” International Relief Project which started in January 2017. It is implemented by “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation with the financial support from Canadian charitable organizations including “HOPE worldwide Canada”.
