Stanitsa Luhanska is an urban-type settlement of the Luhansk region, where there is a checkpoint to the occupied territory in the East of Ukraine. In 2014-2015. there were strong battles (and shelling continues to this day). Many houses have not been restored after the shelling, fences are like a sieve. At the site of the battles, equipment, damaged tanks, and broken armored personnel carriers have already been taken away, but the burnt forest stands as a silent reminder of those terrible events.
In May, classes were held here under the Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” at the village school. The guys were trained by coaches Zhanna Stekhina and Alina Oberemok. Zhanna works as a psychologist in several neighboring schools at once, because there is a lack of such specialists in this area (there is also a need for teachers and doctors). And Alina comes to the classes of the “Children and War” group from another city – Severodonetsk, and this is a 2-hour journey. Both coaches understand the importance of what they are doing, and the work of these two dedicated women inspires respect and admiration. And children are like children: they indulge in class, laugh and cry. But when they paint their fears, they do not remember spider bugs, but a fire, an explosion at a house, the death of their parents … This is a completely different reality. I would like to wish you, our dear, emotional healing and mental health! Let your fears remain only on paper, and the sky above your head will always be blue and peaceful!
