Starting from October 15, every Tuesday in the Rubizhnoye Lugansk region, classes are held under the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques”. The trainers of the program Larisa Polivanaya and Elena Lisyanskaya conduct two groups – children and parents. Children are very interested, active and open, the topic is very relevant for them, so they share their stories a lot. According to the trainers from these stories, they have “goosebumps” – they have so much pain. But the guys are happy to learn self-help techniques, and they manage to cope with fears, obsessive memories and negative thoughts. Parents also work very productively: each of them is ready in the process of healing from an injury and want to help both themselves and their children.
In October, classes started at school number 8 in Svatovo. Alena Dorogavtseva and Vera Gubka work here with sixth graders. From the very beginning of the meeting, the children were very distrustful, listened to the leading groups with caution and could not understand what they wanted from them… But after an hour and a half “the ice started”: they sincerely and openly shared about themselves and even gave the coaches direction for further work with experienced traumatic events (this turned out to be relevant for each group member).
