Team members of “Helphand for Ukraine” project Irina Sukhova and Aleksey Sukhov, Snezhana Volokh and Olga Shikalova upgraded their skills at the First All-Ukraine Scientific-Practical Conference “Coping with war traumas. Ukraine’s experience” which was held on March 28-30, 2018 in Kiev. Apart from that the Supervisor of the project Irina Sukhova delivered the report and introduced to the conference-attendees the course “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques”.
During her presentation Irina shared her work experience and highlighted that thanks to the project “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” for 2015-2018 in the cities of Ukraine 400 trainers have been trained, 1170 children and 350 parents have received psychological help by the teaching techniques “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques”. Audience got interested in the report and paid attention to the fact that there are no similar projects in Ukraine.
