15-17 February 2019, the participants of the project “Helping Hand for Ukraine” raised qualification on a three-day training session about the loss at “8-step program of reference groups for children and teens who have lost loved ones”. The training was organized by Ukrainian Center for dealing with the loss “RODYNNE KOLO” (Kiev), whose staff in partnership with colleagues from the Center for work with heavy losses of the University Hospital Akershus (Norway) translated and adapted the program for Ukrainian specialists. This project is also supported by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. A psychologist and the head of the “Helping Hand of Ukraine” project Irina Sukhova, as well as psychologists and trainers of the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” Alexey Sukhov, Snezhana Volokh and Olga Shikalova were trained under the program and received a methodological guide and certificates allowing them to carry out group work with children and teenagers in Ukraine. Irina and Alexei Sukhovs also studied further on this 8-step program, as leading groups for adults.
