In Rubezhnoye, Lugansk region live and work trainers – Tatiana Oboyanskaya and Elena Melnikovich. For 2 years they have been conducting the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” in the schools of the city for children and their parents. In April, psychologists of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, Irina and Alexei Sukhov from Kiev, visited their supervised colleagues to support them and answer pressing questions. “I really enjoy working with the program “Children and War”, says Elena. – Children get rid of fears and fill the “backpack” of their knowledge with different techniques, which they then use in life. And parents get the skills to communicate with their child, learn to listen to him and be a friend. When I studied these techniques in March 2017 in Severodonetsk, I checked the effectiveness of the healing techniques on myself, and finding wounds in myself, I began to heal them. It was then that I decided that I would try to convey the knowledge gained to the children of our city”. Tatyana Oboyanskaya adds: “War-traumatized children and adults in the Luhansk region, and in general in Ukraine are still quite a lot. The program lives, works and benefits those who need it.! For me, each new group is a new emotion and satisfaction from the process!”
Thanks to Tatiana’s enthusiasm in Lysychansk, Starobelsk and Svatovo, over the past 2 years, trainings were organized for more than 50 young coaches of the “Children and War” program and about 400 children and their parents from the Luhansk region received psychological help. Thank you, our dear trainers, for your caring for people, professionalism and kindness that you radiate!
