Hurrah! Winter vacations are coming, so long awaited trip is on! 20 children from the Maryinka, Donetsk region are looking forward to the beginning of January so they could go to a recreation camp «Caramel» that will take place from January 3 to 13 in Volovets, Zakarpattia region. Boys and girls of 11-12 years old will have an interesting and rich program, competitions and dancing, skiing, trips to mountains. And what is the most important, these kids who live in the «red zone» and are traumatized by the events in Eastern Ukraine will get all the necessary psychological assistance; they will work with the trainers who are experienced psychologists mastering the methodology of the “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques”. Organizational structure of the camp (small troops of 4 persons) and a special recovery program allow to pay attention to every child in order to teach them self-assistance technics of struggling with anxiety, stress, nightmares, and fears linked to the war trauma. This trip and recovery of the children are possible due to financial support from “HOPE worldwide Canada” international charity organization as a part of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project.

P.S.: It is the second camp, organized for the children from Maryinka. The first one took place in June 2017 on the base of the recreational camp «Caramel» near Kyiv. 20 boys and girls living in the zone of war conflict in Eastern Ukraine could spend vacations and recover there.
