On December 05, the psychologists of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” International Relief Project conducted a second “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy session for the IDPs (children and parents). The session was held on the premises of the “Sofia Kyivska” National Reserve.
This time the children were creating and establishing rules which they would use during their meetings. They also talked about how people react to traumatic events, how the body reacts and what feelings we have.
During the therapy session the children learned their first imagination technique “Safe place”. And the parents were practicing skills of effective communication with children and discussed the issues of upbringing they were concerned with.
