The psychologists and team members of the “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation participated in the 2-day training on non-violent communication that took place on April 12-13 in Kyiv. The training was conducted by Eva Rambala (Hungary), certified NVC trainer, within NGO “OPEN KHATA” project – “Social Integration through Development of Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Mediation Skills in Eastern Ukraine”.
Volodymyr Yermakov, President of Foundation, Iryna Sukhova, coordinator-psychologist of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, and Olena Bozhor, psychologist-trainer of the project, learned non-violent communication method, how to make observations without criticism and prejudice, express emotions, feelings and needs and formulate requests.
Due to the specifics of Foundation’s activities, particularly, implementation of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project dealing with displaced children, the team was interested to improve communication with children, parents and everyone who suffered from war trauma. This training was undoubtedly helpful in developing expertise and learning the new approaches.
