On Monday, June 22, 2015, all participants (trainers-psychologists) of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project initial stage received two certificates. A certificate proving participation in the project was handed out by Iryna Sukhova, project coordinator and psychologist of “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation. Natalya Podolyak, program trainer, practicing child psychologist and family psychotherapist at “Dobrobut” Medical Network handed out the second certificate issued by Ukrainian Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Lviv, Ukraine) to prove successful participation in “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” program training course.
Volodymyr Yermakov, director of “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” congratulated everyone with successful completion of the training course and therapy sessions. He also noted that the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” charity initiative could only be implemented thanks to joint efforts of psychologists, volunteers and partners of the Foundation. Volodymyr summed-up the initial results and talked about future possibilities of cooperation within the project.
During 1.5 months that have passed since the launch of the project 10 psychologists not only have learned to use “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” approbated program in their work with traumatized children, but managed to form a team of like-minds. Mutual understanding and smooth communication within the team was strengthened by the results achieved during therapy sessions in Korostyshiv.
At the meeting, the volunteers-psychologists shared how satisfied they were with the results of their work and how useful the program was and would be for children and parents who witnessed war in the Eastern Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting also greeted Natalya Podolyak with her birthday, which took place on Sunday, June 21. We congratulate Natalya and wish her peace, harmony and warmth!
