On May 12, the volunteers from our Foundation greeted the residents of Kyiv Geriatric Nursing Home with the Victory Day. Many families with kids come to the nursing home every year to greet the veterans and bring the warmth of their hearts, smile and attention as the gifts! This time the veterans started gathering in a hall one hour before the concert. They talked to the volunteers and guests, shared the latest news. The volunteers conducted the festive concert full of touching performances, songs, poems, and short plays. Our young artists from “Wings” art studio showed a short play “Letters from the frontline” – it was very moving to relive the events of that time together with actors. At the end of the concert, the young actors danced together with the veterans. After that, everyone enjoyed sweet treats and communication in nice company. The volunteers made greeting cards and gave them to the veterans with flowers. Oleh Kharchenko also divided volunteers into groups and they went to the rooms to greet those veterans who stay on bedrest. We thank everyone for this wonderful event!
