On January 30 and on February 06, the psychologists-volunteers of “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation held the final two “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy sessions on the premises of the “Sofia Kyivska” National Reserve in Kyiv.
The sixth session for IDP children and parents who survived war in Eastern Ukraine and occupation of Crimea took place on January 30. And already on February 06, participants of the sessions and psychologists summed up the results of the therapy course: they were remembering the stages of their own recovery and sharing impressions and experiences. The hard work paid off: children’s nightmares retreated, anxiety attacks in unfamiliar places disappeared and control over awful memories was gained so they were not so awful anymore.
The therapy course began on November 28, 2015. It has been conducted by the team of psychologists of “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation on the premises of the “Sofia Kyivska” National Reserve within Phase II of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” International Relief Project.
