On March 6, 2020, in the Rubezhnoye Luhansk Region, classes on the program “Children and War. Teaching Recovering Techniques” for teachers of extracurricular work with Children and Youth Complex. Classes were held by certified program trainers Elena Lisyanskaya and Elena Melnikovich. Nine participants in group classes, along with trainers, mastered self-help techniques in working with PTSD. There was everything: fear, anxiety, laughter, tears … They survived the pain, learned to cope with their experiences, unpleasant memories of traumatic events, nightmares and anxieties. The atmosphere of sincerity, openness and warmth, trust in each other and mutual support helped. And so, step by step, they gradually overcame all difficulties, looked for a positive way out of the situation, transformed negative thoughts into positive ones, climbed to the top of the “Ladder of Fear” and gained hope for a better future.
