On January 23, the volunteers from “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation took a trip to the Velykopolovetske comprehensive education boarding school of intensive pedagogical correction for children with mental retardation.
January has become a start not only of the year, but also of the new projects for children in the boarding school. In addition to the programs implemented since the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year (“Learning about God”, “Superbook Club”), the volunteers held the first lesson within “Women’s Club” program.
It is great to see more and more children coming to the meetings held by volunteers. More children participate in discussions at “Learning about God” meetings. Not only they talk about past times and events, but also discuss the depth of interactions between people, their lives within the context of Holy Scripture.
This time children talked about “Body. Spirit. Soul”. Kids from the youngest group and “Superbook Club” members got to know more about the main event of this month – Christmas. After storytelling and watching the theme cartoon children made Christ’s Nativity Scene out of clay.
