Our volunteers regularly go to the Kiev boarding house of labour veterans for many years. And every Saturday their wards are waiting for them here with a smile and warm hugs. They are waiting to exchange news, chat, play, dance, sing, draw, make something with their own hands, drink tea together. So in November in a boarding house several events took place at once. On November 16, volunteers held a game called “Tales of Our Childhood”: two teams built a fairy-tale house, and then answered questions from an entertaining and fun quiz. Everyone participated! And each participant was charged with positive energy! November 23 was a wonderful creative time: flowerpots were painted, and each “artist” was able to express his feelings in colors. In December, it is planned to plant violets in these flowerpots so that the flowers become an adornment of the rooms of our dear veterans. And in the boarding house took place art gymnastics and cleaning the territory from dry leaves. Our dear students and youth from the M.A.D. project helped with the cleaning. (Making a difference). Thank you!
Also in November there was one unusual event. Our volunteers, Dima and Vika, decided to make a small gift for Natasha from the boarding house. Natasha’s disability greatly limits her possibilities, and thanks to the walk around Kiev that the guys arranged for her, Natasha visited Khreshchatyk for the first time in 50 years (!), Saw the Central Department Store, McDonalds, was inspired and filled with pleasant and unforgettable impressions.
Thank you, our dear volunteers, for your work, warmth and partial hearts!
