Organisational meeting of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project coordinator Ira Sukhova with the representative of the NGO “Human Rights Association “Commonwealth” in Odesa Halyna Yenakiyeva took place in the beginning of September this year.
Together they discussed the possible cooperation with the Department of Education and Science on Odesa City Council which supports the initiative of involving the school psychologists and social pedagogues in “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” training program as well as organisation of therapy courses in schools of Odesa.
The NGO “Human Rights Association “Commonwealth” unites internally displaced people in Odesa and provides opportunities for people who came from military activities zone to receive legal, psychological assistance and humanitarian aid, including temporary accommodation and free meals. The organisation conducts developing programs for children, clubs for adults, implements the “School of Kindness” program, which contains “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” training as the first element.
