On August 29-30, preparing for the Phase IV of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project Ira Sukhova, chief psychologist and coordinator of the project, held several meetings in Dnipro. She met with local volunteers and social activists.
Around 80 thousand IDPs families live in Dnipro region. Thus, the initiative of holding trainings and therapy courses of psychological assistance for IDPs is topical. Communication with like-minded people turned out to be interesting and efficient: participants of the meetings discussed possibilities of providing humanitarian aid to IDPs families as well as holding “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” psychological trainings. The first training in Dnipro is to take place on November 11-13, 2016. The idea of conducting therapy for children from the so called “grey” zone – Avdiivka, Mariinka, Krasnohorivka – was also discussed.
