On November 11, the volunteers of our Foundation conducted a second art-therapy lesson at the Kyiv boarding school #15 for children with poliomyelitis sequelae and cerebral palsy. At first, the teacher Iryna Otyutska, gave the task for children and volunteers to draw what upset them and what made them happy.
Then the children presented their drawing s and shared their feelings. After the presentations everyone was busy with autumn fairy fox coloring. All children’s drawings were very individual. The new girl Lida, at first, was giving up for several times saying that she can’t draw. It was obvious that she needed support. All participants supported her, told her that they trusted in her. As a result, she managed to draw and her drawing turned out to be very beautiful!
Both children and volunteers were inspired by this lesson. Everyone is looking forward to the next one.
