At the moment in the city Lysychansk, Luhansk region, the program “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” (within the framework of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project) works simultaneously in two schools of the city – №14 and №2. At school №14 coaches Elena Shipilova and Elena Kravchenko organized just 4 groups for 5th grade students. At the moment, heating is off at school, lessons are suspended, but children are happy to resort to classes of psychological support groups.

At school №2 the classes are held for eighth-graders. By itself, adolescence is not easy, and when war leaves its mark, the consequences make themselves felt very strongly. Trainers Inna Kravchenko and Yuliya Denischuk with patience and faith teach teenagers self-acceptance, sincerity and self-help techniques. Special thanks to Zinaida M. Kotova, the director of School №2, for taking care of the children and facilitating the implementation of the “Children and War” program in this school.

On November 22, the psychologists of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, Irina and Alexei Sukhov, visited both schools with supervision and support to share experiences and discuss issues of relevance for this city.

We wish the coaches and participants of the class success and excellent results!
