From February 03 till February 22, 2017 the trainers-volunteers held “Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy sessions for the group of children in boarding school #10 of Slovyansk. 13 children aged 9-11 years participated in therapy course designed for children traumatized by military actions in Eastern Ukraine.
Therapy sessions were conducted by trainers-volunteers, students of Donbas State Pedagogical University, Iryna Derkunska and Karina Heriak, who took part in “Children and War” training in Slovyansk. The course was held within Phase V of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” International Relief Project which started in January 2017. It is implemented by “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” charity foundation with the financial support from Canadian charitable organizations including “HOPE worldwide Canada”.
