On December 14, the “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” training within the Phase II of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” International Relief Project of “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” and “HOPE worldwide of Canada” started in Ivano-Frankivsk. Among the participants are representatives of city and regional department on social policy, social service centres, regional state emergency services, practicing psychologists, and volunteers from non-governmental and charitable organisations dealing with IDPs issues.
During three days the participants will learn how to use “Children and War. Teaching Recovery Techniques” program in their work with children, traumatized by war in Eastern Ukraine. The program has been developed in frames of cooperation between the Centre for Crisis Psychology (Bergen, Norway) and the Institute of Psychiatry (London, Great Britain), and has been translated and adapted by the experts from Ukrainian Institute of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Lviv, Ukraine). The training is conducted by experienced trainers of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project.
