“Children and War: Teaching Recovery Techniques” therapy sessions started in Kyiv on February 10 within the framework of the “Helping Hand for Ukraine” project, implemented by “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation in cooperation with “HOPE worldwide Zurich”.
12 children aged 8-14 years (junior high school and adolescence) and 11 parents who moved to the capital from the ATO zone due to military activities in Eastern Ukraine, will receive psychological assistance in dealing with war trauma and will learn techniques of self-regulation of their psycho-emotional state. During the course, which consists of 7 sessions, psychologists will tell participants how to cope with stress, obsessive memories, nightmares, anxiety, anxiety and fears. “HOPE worldwide Ukraine” Charity Foundation expresses sincere gratitude to its new partner, “DYTYNETS” Charitable Foundation (Kyiv) – for assistance in coordination of the group and providing the venue. The funds for the therapy in Kyiv were raised during “Gala of HOPE” charity concert held in June 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland. It was organised by “HOPE worldwide Zurich” and “u l t r a S c h a l l” ensemble.
